A Cardinal Number

Well, how about that, folks? I've made 100 posts here at Woolly Discipline. Now, I know I've been a sporadic poster, and if there is one thing that this past week of daily posting has taught me it's that.... it's probably just as well really.

Wow, how do daily bloggers come up with new stuff to write about?

Moreover, when have they got time to knit?

But anyway, 100 blog posts calls for a celebration, or (dare I say it?) a blog contest!

I shall choose randomly from amongst the comments, one lucky winner who will take home some lovely sock yarn. The rules are as follows:

  • While contestants may comment more than once, this will not afford them multiple entries in the drawing.
  • The comment that is either the most witty, or makes me laugh the hardest (I'm sure you see how these two need not be synonymous) will receive Honorable Mention.
  • I'll be monitoring the comments on this post through midnight on Tuesday, November 13. I'll announce the winner in Wednesday's post. If you were clever enough to leave me an email address, I'll email you too.
  • If you don't happen to live in my hometown, I'm happy to mail the sock yarn to you. We'll work out the details as we go along.)
Now, since I have three regular readers, one regular commenter, and two or three occasional guests (I'm looking at you, tekopp, "hi!" and goodness, how much is post to Norway?) I'll be interested to see how many commenters crawl out of the woodwork at the promise of free yarn.

Yay for 100 posts!

Well. ...One hundred is rather a lot. Typing with the laptop seems to take...skill. I like the clicky sound it makes, though. ^^

Hmm...I wonder what kind of socks you may or may not be making me. Lol.

You ought to read all the messages on DA. They will only multiply from here on out. Yeees. Damn those journals and comments!! Inbreeding is bad!! D8<

Love you mother. <3

DO WANT!!! <3 >8D

MWAHAHAHA!

Generally, I do not post when slightly inebriated, but I do so under duress. You see, Kade is sitting right here, scowling at me like some sort of...predator. I feel she may do something unfit to print to me if I do not reply, you see, so here I am replying.
If you are reading this HELP!
I started to say something about being held against my will in her bedroom, but... I'll not finish that, hmm?
Anyhow, congrats on the 100th post, it's quite a milestone! Go You!!

They knit while the blog loads, silly.

And you can always talk some more about yarn. And kids. And animals. And husbands.

So, is inebriation considered an unfair advantage?

I have ideas for knitting and blogging:

First of all, there's the knitting while you're doing other things, like standing around at a wedding reception, or having someone else give you a ride to work. :)

Secondly, you could learn to knit with your feet while you're blogging with your hands, or learn to type with your feet while you're knitting with your hands.

Or, you could try to find out the spell Molly Weasley used to knit magically: that would leave plenty of time for blogging and such, because you can have your knitting going all the time.

Failing that, you could beg, bribe, or threaten your eldest to take blog dictation while you knit... And if she can't keep up with your dictation, just say "Rhi, faster!"

Hope this helps! And if you do figure out the Weasley knitting spell, please share it with me so I can benefit as well.

I'm stopping by on my way to commenting on as many NaBloPoMo blogs as possible as part of the NaBloPoMo commenting challenge. :)

Congrats on hitting 100! :)

I got started with daily blogging around this time last year, but I think it's a case of when you start to do it, at least this is my case, you do find things to write about. :)

BTW, do you mind if I take myself out of the free yarn draw? As a guy, I can't think of many things I could use yarn for. ;)

*blushes* someone talked about me on a blog and it took me this long to notice... ooops.

Congrats on 100 posts, milestones are.. fun? if you want to call it that, special at least, big numbers tend to be special.

suggestion to a topic you can post on another day: How do you feel about daily blogging and why are you (not) going to continue with it?
I'd be interested in seeing the answer to that one :)

ps. shipping to norway is a bit costy, but not that bad ;)

Yes, NaBloPoMo and the Ravelry forums have seriously cut into my knitting progress. Yet, somehow, I don't seem to be able to pull myself away from the computer...
